Thinking about death and the afterlife, the unknown is uncertain, which is different from practicing buddhism/dhamma. When practicing, the results are certain and immediate. Do the teachings explain anything about faith and the afterlife? I feel this is a big hole in my purpose of practicing. Or am viewing the purpose of practicing incorrectly? I'd like to understand the purpose of how practice will certainly be beneficial for the after life (ideally, rather than rely on faith).
