'Buddha' means the awakened one who has discovered the Four Noble Truths without a teacher. It is described in the verse about the nine virtues of the Buddha.

Thank you for sharing that with me.
The link gives an impression of reverence.  I do apologise if I have offended anyone for using this forum more as a chat,  and not being mindful of Others and traditions,   I am new to Buddhism,

Reading The nine virtues of the Buddha has Shown me the qualities I need to get to the ultimate truth. It’s inspiring. It also allows me to gauge where I am, and how far I have to go. I am inspired by the gift of the Dhamma that makes it easier for me to find the way.

The teachings That you have shared has helped me so much.
