I recently had a migraine that lasted for about an hour and a half, and so I decided to meditate. I pretty much just noted the pain the entire time. Is this correct or should I only note the pain every so often and try my best to be aware and note other emotions and thoughts that were coming to mind.

Note whichever your attention goes to in the present moment. In other words, if your attention stays with the pain, note as pain... pain... if the attention switches to a sound, note as hearing... hearing... etc.

By the way, you are going to be either ashes or soil in less than 100 years, so don't get discouraged by migraines. Get it checked by a doctor though.
