As in you are not succumbing to your emotions but rather getting to the root of them and gaining deeper understanding of why you feel the things you do?

It's the practice of seeing things clearly. No rationalization or conceptual thinking is involved. It's the practice of seeing impermanence, unsatisfactoriness, and non-self directly.

It's the difference between rationalizing why an orange is tangy vs actually tasting the orange and seeing for yourself it's flavor.
