How can something arise from nothing? Doesn't that indicate nothing is actually something?

If nothing is actually something, then this would contradict that it is nothing, right?
Life is full of such seeming contradictions. Is it possible that seeing contradictions is actually seeing both sides, and that they do not, in fact, exclude each other?

"something arise from nothing" - how did you make this assertion? I do not recall any Buddhist teaching supporting such a view.

Perhaps the question is nothing important to think about. Then, again, posing the question makes it a valid question that popped up on this page that didn't exist before the question was asked.

I'm inquiring the premise for this question. You are asking something like "how come apples come from nothing?" when there is no basis to ask that question. Could you provide a valid example for something that comes from nothing?

Probably Bitcoin.  It is nothing.  People's perceptions that it is something, along with group thought have turned this nothing into a trading commodity that will bottom out when people find out that it really has no basis.

It's not nothing. Bitcoin is an idea. An idea is basically a mind object.  Mind objects are caused.

Things don't arise from nothing. This is considered wrong view. Experiences arise because of causes and conditions. When the causes and conditions are removed the experiences can no longer arise. This is the basis of our whole practice. When you remove the causes of suffering then suffering can no longer arise.

This makes sense.
