In the booklet page 3 says “ The mantra should not be at the mouse or in the head” That means that the word wont be said at least in the mind to recognize the object or the fact? Confusing. Thanks in advance for the answer.

The word or label is a mental word. It should not be at the head or the mouth means that one should put one's attention on the experience one is noting not on the act of noting itself. For example if you feel a pain in your leg and note it as "pain" you will be saying "pain" in your mind but your attention will be on the location of the pain. I hope that helps.
